Pikey Peak Trekking

Pikey Peak trek follows a delightful trail in the lower Everest region known as Solu Khumbu. From the summit there is a panoramic view of the highest mountain of the world, Mt. Everest, at an elevation of 8,848m. This ‘off the beaten track’ trek to Pikey Peak perfectly blends quiet trails, fascinating culture and sweeping mountain vistas. It is a fantastic lower altitude alternative to the more challenging, busier trails of the high Himalaya without any compromise on your experience!.

Pikey Peak provides the opportunity of a lifetime to see Mt. Everest and six other peaks over 8,000m: Mt. Everest South Summit, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, in the west Annapurna and Manaslu, and in the east the third highest peak in the world Mt. Kanchanjunga. Also clear are Mt. Thamserku, Numbur Himal, Gauri Shankar, and the Langtang Range. Pikey has breathtaking sunrise and sunset views when weather allows. In addition to the peak we will also see Monasteries like Thupten Chholing where there are more than 500 nuns and Tolu Monastery, the second oldest in Nepal.

September – December during autumn and February – June during spring are the best time of the year for Pikey Peak Trek. These seasons are known for wonderful weather and excellent views. Autumn brings happiness in Nepal as the major festival of Nepal falls in this season. Likewise, the spring is the time of joy with different flowers blooming around the entire country.

If you are in remote areas, please note that emergency rescue & evacuation can be very expensive.

We also strongly urge you to consider rescue and evacuation insurance if your own policy does not provide the coverage needed. Services available may include, but are not limited to, helicopter evacuation, medical care, etc.

If you choose not to purchase insurance, you assume full responsibility.
