Around Manaslu Trekking
 This challenging trek goes north of the Himalaya,circling the eighth highet mountain in the world. High and remote, the route was off-limits until recently. It is a journey through wild country,a real mountain high.
You will be previleged to enter the recently opened, remote world of a people eking out a bare living but who are natured by a deep and abiding faith. There is no better place to start this trek than from historic Gorkha, Home of King Prithivi Narayan Shah,the king who united Nepal.Even from this point,the views are stunning : Annapurna,Manaslu, Himalchuli,Peaks-29 and Ganesh Himal dominate the skylie.The rice paddles of the Gurung and Magar villages along the Budhi Gandaki river valley soon give way to steep tracks cut into the cliffs of the river george. As you enter the rain shadow of Manaslu close to the Tibetan border, the scenery changes dramatically.Sparse forests decorated with colourful prayer flags and many shrines proclaim the region's Tibetan Buddhist Heritage. While the approach to Larkya La is demanding,your reward is incomperable views of Manaslu and Himlung Himal from the Lakya-Pass.
